Tank or tankless?
Tankless wins on endless hot water, space savings, and energy efficiency — but costs more upfront and needs proper venting. Tank wins on upfront cost, simpler install, and handling high simultaneous demand (big family morning rush). For most 2-3 person households in the GTA, a high-efficiency tank is the better value.
How long does a water-heater swap take?
Tank-for-tank: 2–4 hours. Tank-to-tankless: 4–8 hours depending on venting and gas line work.
