Dual-fuel or all-electric?

Dual-fuel (heat pump + gas furnace as backup) is the pragmatic default in the GTA — lowest risk, lowest operating cost, and easiest if you already have gas service. All-electric makes sense for new builds, homes without gas service, or aggressive electrification goals.
