Ductwork Inspection, Sealing & Redesign

Most HVAC problems are really duct problems. We inspect, seal, balance, and redesign where your ducts are failing you.

Call us when

You're dealing with one of these.

  • Some rooms are boiling, others are freezing
  • The furnace runs constantly but the house is still uncomfortable
  • Vents blow cold air even when the furnace is running
  • Energy bills don't match the equipment's efficiency rating
  • You just finished a basement, addition, or reno and need duct rework
  • Visible tears, mouse damage, or disconnected duct sections

What's included

Every ductwork job includes:

  • Full duct inspection — including the returns, not just the supplies
  • Static pressure and airflow measurements (most installers skip this — it's diagnostic gold)
  • Leak detection and sealing (mastic or Aeroseal) on accessible runs
  • Balancing dampers to fix room-to-room temperature differences
  • Design and install for additions, basement finishes, or undersized returns
  • Insulation in unconditioned spaces (attic, crawlspace)

Pricing

Inspection is a flat fee.

Any sealing, balancing, or redesign work is quoted in writing before we proceed.

Warranty

In writing, on every invoice.

2-year labour warranty on sealing and new ductwork runs.

FAQ

Ductwork: your top questions

My furnace is brand new but one room is still cold — why?
Almost always ductwork: undersized returns, a closed or blocked damper, a kinked flex run, an unbalanced system, or a leaky run dumping conditioned air into the attic. Equipment upgrades can't compensate for duct problems.
What is Aeroseal?
A process that pressurizes your ducts and injects an aerosolized sealant that plugs leaks from the inside. Great for inaccessible runs (slab-embedded, walled-in). Not necessary for most homes with accessible basement ductwork — mastic works fine there.
How do I know if my ducts are undersized?
Telltale signs: high static pressure on the furnace, whistling vents, loud blower, short-cycling, or rooms that just never get comfortable. A static pressure test at the service call tells us in about 5 minutes.
