The water that drips off your AC's evaporator coil. Has to go somewhere — usually a floor drain.
An AC pulls 5–20 litres of water out of the air every day in summer. That water collects in a drain pan under the evaporator coil and runs out a PVC drain line.
Clogged condensate drains are the #1 cause of "AC leaking water" calls. Algae and biofilm grow in the warm wet line. Pour 1 cup of distilled vinegar through the cleanout port every spring to keep it clear.
High-efficiency furnaces also produce condensate (acidic — different drain than the AC). Both eventually run to a floor drain or condensate pump.
