Up to $40,000

Interest-free financing from Natural Resources Canada for major energy upgrades. Single largest dollar amount in the rebate stack — covers the bulk of a heat pump or high-efficiency furnace install with no interest. Repaid over 10 years from your bank.

Eligibility

Primary residence in Canada
Single-family detached, semi-detached, row, or low-rise (≤3 storeys)
EnerGuide pre-audit completed before work starts

How to claim

1 Book an EnerGuide pre-audit ($300–$400; sometimes rebated)
2 Apply for the loan online with the audit report
3 Wait for approval (typically 2–4 weeks)
4 Complete the installation
5 Submit invoices + post-audit
6 Loan disbursed; repay monthly over 10 years
